I was honored to be chosen in 2021 as one of the instructors of the AI Academy for Small Newsrooms an initiative created by the JournalismAI team of the London School of Economics with the support of the Google News Initiative.

I taught a class of 20 journalists from Africa, Europe, and the Middle East as part of a program designed to kickstart small news organizations’ AI-adoption journey.

The selected participants worked for investigative journalism organizations, newspapers, news podcasts, financial news outlets, and other types of news organizations.

I taught the students how to develop AI strategies centered on human needs by showcasing a bespoke framework that I built at IBM.
